CLASSES IN OILS & WATERCOLOURS

Workshop 1 Oil :

                            5 DAYS

                                   9.00am – 4.00pm

                            Wednesday 25th January – Sunday 29th January 2012

Workshop 2 Watercolour :

              

                            5 DAYS

                            9.00am – 4.00pm

                            Wednesday 1st February – Sunday 5th February 2012

 

Take advantage of two creative minds to assist you in inspiration and techniques using oils (week 1) and watercolour (week 2). Lucy & Barry would like to pass on the information they wished they had been given, when they first started painting, & show you how they approach a painting. The course will cover aspects such as equipment & their use , basic art principals & elements including design, value colour, shapes & edges, to give you the skills to not only produce a painting, but a piece of art. Weather permitting the class may paint outdoors on 1 or 2 sessions. There will be time to something you love, so bring reference material for this. All other reference material will be provided.

 

Both full time artists, Lucy & Barry McCann are a husband & wife team who run McCann Fine Art, producing works largely on a commission basis. Their demonstrations, teaching & judging skills are sought after by art societies and groups throughout Australia & overseas. They have achieved numerous prizes & awards with their work represented in many private & corporate collections.
